Terms of Service
Early-access version. SlipWork is still in early access. We're having these pages reviewed by an attorney and will update them before SlipWork opens to everyone. If anything material changes, we'll email account owners first.

These terms are between you (the business using SlipWork) and Botelho Technologies (“we”). By creating an account, you agree to them.
The service
SlipWork helps trade businesses track jobs, time, parts, customers and invoices, and take card payments. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but it's provided “as is” — we can't promise it will never be down or have a bug.
Your account
The owner who signs up is responsible for the account, including crew logins they add and what's entered. Keep passwords private. One plan covers up to 10 people (the owner plus 9 crew).
Free trial and price
- New shops get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start.
- After that, SlipWork is $49 per month per shop, billed monthly in advance through Stripe, plus any sales tax that applies.
- If you don't subscribe after the trial, or a payment fails and isn't fixed, your account becomes read-only: you can still see everything and your invoice links keep working, but you can't add or change things until you subscribe.
- We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel any time in Settings → Your plan. You keep full access until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't refund partial months. If something went wrong with a charge, email us and we'll make it right.
Card payments from your customers
Online payments are processed by Stripe. To take them, you'll set up a Stripe account and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Money goes to your Stripe account. Stripe charges its own processing fee, and SlipWork keeps 0.5% of each card payment. Refunds and disputes with your customers are handled through your Stripe account.
Your data
Your shop's data belongs to you. We use it only to provide SlipWork, as described in our Privacy page. You're responsible for what you record about your customers and for the invoices, prices and taxes you send them.
Fair use
Don't use SlipWork for anything illegal, to send spam, or to try to get at other shops' data. We may suspend accounts that do.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email the account owner before it takes effect.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
